About Yolanda

Yolanda an experienced, nationally recognized, leader with an extensive record of providing leadership guidance, community engagement, and navigating different systems to afford clients assistance from a strengths-based perspective. She is the Chief Operating Officer serving as the leading nonprofit’s Director of NSVRC. She manages the operations of the national center in its mission to provide leadership in preventing and responding to sexual violence through collaborating, sharing, creating, and promoting research. This includes collaborating with a variety of national partners and funders including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), and Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). Yolanda is the Managing Director, for RALIANCE, a national partnership dedicated to ending sexual violence. Yolanda also serves as a member of the Match Group Advisory Council and BGCA National Child & Club Safety Task Force, advocating for safer platforms and communities. Professionally and personally she works for social change. Yolanda has spent many years volunteering for community-based programs in Central PA. She's currently serving on the boards of Alder Health Services and Historic Harrisburg Association.

Provided oversight of the community and patient engagement initiatives, such as SPNS, HIV/AIDS outreach and prevention, fundraising to defer patient education costs, patient care coordination, and patient referrals of the health center. This included the management of 18 people: 14 employees of the health center and 4 participants of Community Health Corps.

The task force provides critical and timely direction and recommendations on key safety issues and trends that impact children. The task force also works together to provide feedback on key BGCA safety initiatives.

The Historic Harrisburg Association (HHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable and educational organization that advocates for the restoration, preservation, and proper stewardship of historic neighborhoods and landmarks throughout the Capital Region to enable current and future generations to retain and celebrate Harrisburg’s rich history. HHA collaborates with civic organizations, neighborhood groups, and government agencies to fulfill its mission to “promote historic preservation, urban revitalization, and smart growth.”

The council is the first of its kind in the industry, and regularly makes recommendations on how to improve safety on Match Group platforms.
